Palm Pre Pricing Mistake

An error in one of Best Buy's recent ads has listed the $199 Palm Pre smartphone at only $99. The price however, was corrected soon after.
There must have been lots of disappointed customers that week.

Hot Chick Wallpapers Now on Palm Pre

I know, for many people, a cell phone, no matter how advanced, is just unusable without hot chick wallpapers on it. So for those of you who have been putting off buying a Palm Pre for this reason, the wait is now over.

Palm webOS 1.1 now available

It's here. Palm's first update for the WebOS. The main fix in this update is the syncing problems with iTunes introduced by Apple, as well as many other things:
  • Scrolling through long lists (like contacts) seems improved. We're seeing a lot less loading, and only the occasional hiccup.
  • Push email now seems to actively delete (and represent the count properly) in the background.
  • Folder orders for IMAP Gmail accounts are now correct. Previous versions of the software had them totally out of whack.
  • The email alert sound is different -- softer.
  • App load times seem a bit snappier. In fact, the whole device feels a little snappier.
  • Maybe we're crazy, but there seems to be a new animation for the drop-down menus.
